Dining in Turks and Caicos
The dining in Turks and Caicos is always great. Dinner at Bay Bistro is no exception. My husband and I have traveled to many Caribbean islands and Providenciales has the best food options – hands down. There have been times when we could not wait to get back to the states because we were so hungry.
Leaving Provo is the total opposite. We always dread leaving and miss the food when we are not there. We often come up with our own versions of the food we eat on the island. It pretty much sucks when you are back home in the states and craving something from the island. You then have to compensate and come up with something. Of course theirs is always better.
Not only does the Grace Bay area and Providenciales have some of the best restaurants, but also some of the best views. The atmosphere can completely impact how you feel overall about a restaurant. The restaurants in Grace Bay all have wonderful views.
The views vary from overlooking Grace Bay to being amidst beautiful palm trees. They are all great in their own ways.
Dinner at Bay Bistro
Bay Bistro is included in my list of great restaurants in Turks and Caicos – specifically Grace Bay. Bay Bistro has so much to offer including great food, great atmosphere, great service, and one of the best views ever.
You will find Bay Bistro at the Sibonne Beach Hotel on Grace Bay. When you park and walk up to the restaurant you will probably wonder if this is the right place. The Sibonne Beach Hotel is a little old and out dated compared to the much newer higher end resorts. I mean, I would stay at this resort in a heartbeat. I am just saying you may expect something different as you are walking up to eat.
View of Grace Bay
As you walk up to the restaurant you will immediately see the wonderful view that Bay Bistro has to offer. Bay Bistro is so close to Grace Bay that you will feel like you are practically on the beach. The views are magnificent. I mean, going to dinner in Turks and Caicos is one of my favorite things to do because of places like this. Who wouldn’t want to go to dinner and overlook Grace Bay while you enjoy your meal?
Menu and Food
I know I’ve mentioned how great the food is at Bay Bistro but really, the food is great here. It is always one of our favorite meals on the island. We have honestly never been for breakfast or lunch because we always save it for dinner. You have many options here and you are sure to find something (many) things that you love.
To start our meal we order the conch wontons. Let me tell you, these are amazing. They won a medal in the annual conch festival and I can see why. They are truly delicious. If I am being honest – conch is not my favorite. But, when we are on the island we do eat conch fritters at least once and then these conch wontons. The wontons make me forget about not loving conch because they are mouth-watering good.
If you want to try conch but not so sure about it – try these and I feel sure you will love them. Not only do we order conch wontons but the hubby also loves Bay Bistro’s famous mango mojito. Bay Bistro provides complimentary bread at the beginning of your meal as well.
The last time we ate dinner at Bay Bistro we enjoyed the snapper with shrimp. It was amazing!
How much does it cost is always a popular question. Believe me, I get it. I always like to know what I am getting into before I do it. Dinner at Bay Bistro will cost you around $100 if you get two meals, an appetizer, and drinks. My husband and I share food pretty much everywhere we go. If not, we waste way too much. Our bill at Bay Bistro with $68 and we shared a meal, got an appetizer and order drinks. This will give you an idea of what to expect. A meal on average is $30+ and an appetizer is $8+.
The service at Bay Bistro is wonderful. The waiters are attentive and knowledgeable about everything on the menu. We never have to wait for our drinks to be refilled and do not have to ask for anything.
