Broccoli Salad Recipe
Since it is Thanksgiving, I thought today would be the perfect time to share one of our favorite side dishes. The one thing that my husband always asks for on Thanksgiving is Broccoli Salad. It is super easy to make and it is delicious.
2 Bunches of Broccoli, broken into bite size pieces
1 Cup of Raisins
1/2 Cup Chopped Purple Onion
8 Slices of Bacon, Cooked, Drained and Crumbled
1/2 Cup of Toasted Pecan Pieces
1/2 Cup of Mayonnaise
3 Tbs Sugar
2 Tbs Vinegar
Spray pay with olive oil or non stick spray. Spread pecans in pan and cook at 400 degrees for 5 minutes
Cut your broccoli into small pieces. Let the broccoli soak in cold water for a couple of hours. Rinse. Mix all ingredients except bacon.
Combine the mayo, vinegar, and sugar. Pour into broccoli mixture and stir. Chill.
Add bacon before serving.
I make this the day before and then just add the bacon before we eat.
Best Broccoli Salad Recipe
In my opinion, this is the best broccoli salad recipe. Broccoli salad with bacon is the best. This side dish goes well with anything from Thanksgiving dinner to a great steak and potato. We even eat it by itself for lunch sometimes.
